Tsuta has 1-for-1 ramen

Japan’s famous, Michelin-minted ramen joint, Tsuta, is offering a ramen deal to make Phase 2: Heightened Alert a lot more palatable. From now till 13 June, get 1-for-1 on their Michelin-starred ramen and don bowls, applicable for both delivery and takeaway.

Tsuta New Menu - shoyu soba with char siu

An extensive selection of their ramen items are applicable under the 1-for-1 deal. All of them are priced at $18. When divided by the two portions you get for the price, this means a bowl of Tsuta ramen will only set you back $9, as compared to their usual prices, which tend to go over $18++.

Choose from over 10 different ramen flavours, ranging from their ever-popular Shoyu Soba ($18), to their novel Mala Tonkotsu Soba ($18). The former sees springy soba noodles cooked in Tsuta’s house-made, soy-based dashi, further laced with white shoyu. To finish, a dash of black truffle sauce is added to intensify the overall dish. The latter is a take on the local favourite, mala. Combining the Sichuan spicy paste with a tonkotsu broth, the overall portion is lip-smacking, and tongue-tingling.

Tsuta New Menu - japanese snow crab

Those looking for something more indulgent can enjoy Tsuta’s Crab Soba under the 1-for-1 deal as well, though this bowl is priced at $20 instead. Rich with the sweet. briny flavour of the sea, each serving comes with Japanese snow crab in its shell.

Tsuta New Menu - soboro meshi

Apart from the ramen and soba offerings, Tsuta will also make its don bowls available as part of the 1-for-1 promotion. Prices once more start from $18 for simple, hearty fare like their Niku Meshi ($18) beef bowl, or go up to $24 for the likes of their Wagyu Beef Don. Still, with the promotion, all these dishes are going for a steal.

If you prefer to enjoy a full meal for the price, then go for the Ramen/Don Set instead of ordering ala carte. Priced at $38, diners get to choose two ramen or don bowls, one maki roll, one appetiser, and two drinks at the very affordable price.

Topping off the slew of promotions is the fact that you can get free delivery when you spend above $60. Those unable to hit the mark can nonetheless enjoy 10% off delivery fares with the code ‘TSUTAMAY’ till the end of May, or 20% off takeaway from either their VivoCity or 313@Somerset outlets with the code ‘TAKEAWAYTSUTA’. Terms and conditions apply.
