For fans of tapioca cake, did you know when people in Singapore first started eating tapioca? It was during the Japanese occupation from 1942 to 1945 and there was a shortage of rice. With many people starving, they were forced to eat tapioca instead. Soon after, people started finding different ways to cook it which eventually led us to the creation of the tapioca cake. As you let that information sink in, how about you sink your teeth into some tapioca cake from Heng Heng’s?

Heng Heng’s handmade Tapioca Cakes are so divine they are simply to die for. Their tapioca cakes are simply boiled tapioca coated with fresh grated coconut. Though a simple dish, the tapioca cake is light and has the perfect amount of sweetness without overpowering the natural taste of the tapioca. Additionally, the tapioca cake melts in your mouth and is still moist in the middle.
