A.K Zai Lok Lok at Outram Road

Anyone with a voracious appetite knows the pain of self-restraint when you’re at a lok lok place—a few more tasty skewers are just an order away, but the already massive bill you’ve racked up looms over you. An easy solution to that problem is to dine at a lok lok buffet such as A.K Zai Lok Lok, an eatery situated along Outram Road.

DLLM Lok Lok Has New Outlet In Jurong, Opens Till 4AM Daily

For $19.90++ per person, you get to binge on 40 types of lok lok in a stylish, industrial-themed setting, replete with atmospheric neon and fairy lights. Most interestingly, there’s a poster wall that pays tribute to Bruce Lee and the owner’s father, who the eatery is named after.

You can have your lok lok deep-fried or boiled in a soup of your choice. For fried options, our favourites were the scallop, bacon-wrapped enoki, and pork belly skewers.

An additional $10 is required to boil your lok lok in one of the following soup bases: tom yum, curry, mala, laksa, and pork broth. With the spicy kick of the tom yum soup infused into our lok lok, we thoroughly enjoyed skewers such as the smoked duck slices and tiger prawns.

Though these skewers are plenty delicious on their own, the sheer variety of sauces here, ranging from satay to chilli crab sauce, will introduce diverse flavours to your feast.

And if you’re feeling thirsty, you can pay $3 to get a free flow of lime juice, water chestnut, or barley. On Thursdays, there’s a 1-for-1 cocktail deal as well.

Do note that the $19.90 buffet has a 2-hour time limit. Should there be more than five leftover skewers, wastage charges will be applied. Just bring the most competitive eaters you know, and you’ll be fine on that front.
