Located in Kim San Leng Coffeeshop, Warisan Kampung specialises in authentic Melaka Claypot Asam Pedas! They’ve been operating for slightly over a year and are opened by a husband and wife duo. Despite being one of the newer stalls in the coffeeshop, their stall already has people eagerly waiting for their delicious asam pedas non-stop when they’re open!

A popular option would be the Claypot Asam Pedas with Stingray ($10)! For just $10, you will get a huge bowl of asam pedas, along with a plate of rice that comes with various vegetables, sambal belachan and salted egg!

Unlike your typical Asam Pedas, the asam pedas gravy at Warisan Kampung is more on the thicker side! Usually, typical Nasi Padang stalls do up a thinner version of it so this is a surprise. The gravy hits the spot because of how perfectly seasoned it is.

It has a good blend of flavours, making this a joy to eat! The vegetables in this dish are perfectly cooked, none of them are too soft and still have a crunch to it! The stingray went very well with the gravy, and falls off the bone easily! The fish is also soft and slightly chewy.
