Opened in 2012, Feng Ji Kwap Chap is run by husband-and-wife duo Wong Seng Hong and Hong Choi Peng. Seng Hong, who was born in Perak, Malaysia, has been working in the F&B industry since he was 17 when he came to Singapore. He was previously working for another kway chap stall before he decided to open Feng Ji to better support his family.

Preparation starts as early as 2am daily as the couple prepares to feed the breakfast crowd as they open from 6.30am to 11am. As queues are a constant, you would definitely want to head down early to not miss out.

Scrumptious And Affordable Kway Chap

Despite being only $2.50, the kway chap here is served with a pretty decent portion. You get your bowl of kway and a plate of your classic ingredients like braised pork, intestines, tau pok, and a hard-boiled egg.

For the soup, it is light and has a pleasant amount of herbal flavour to it. As the kway is slightly thicker compared to others, it has a firmer yet still silky smooth texture to it. It absorbs the soup really well, bursting in flavour with each slurp.

Moving on to the ingredients, the braised pork is delightfully tender and soft, while the intestine has a nice chewiness and tastes really clean. For those that are particular about pig organs, you will definitely find this palatable. Additionally, the tau pok absorbs the sauce well, bursting in herbally goodness.

Be sure to pair them with the chilli for the perfect kick of spice and tang! Overall, Feng Ji’s kway chap is not only incredibly affordable, but its quality is also what makes it stand out from the rest as well. Hurry down and check out this must-try spot today!
