Many claim the East side to be the best side in terms of food, and I reckon this bold statement to be true—to some extent. With the addition of Charr’d Steakhouse, AKA Singapore’s first halal steakhouse that specialises in A5 Wagyu, there’s one more reason to explore the East. Plus, the restaurant is a nine-minute walk from Eunos and Kembangan MRT Stations!

Among its varied selection of side and main dishes, Charr’d Steakhouse is best known for their A5 Wagyu. For starters, you can opt for their A5 Wagyu Cubes ($24++), which comprises Wagyu cubes seasoned with flaky salt, accompanied by mushrooms and snow pea shoots. Otherwise, get their A5 Ribeye ($58++) for something more substantial as a main.

Variety is often a huge bonus at any given restaurant, and you can expect it here. There are a total of five sauces to pair with your steak: House Bearnaise ($5++), Chimichurri ($5++), Wasabi Mayo ($4++), Yakiniku No Tare ($4++), and Ghost Peppercorn Mayo ($4++). Among these five, Chimichurri and Ghost Peppercorn Mayo seem to be the most popular choices among patrons.

Mentaiko fans will be pleased to know that they offer Mentaiko Jojos ($12++), which features deep-fried potato wedges doused in charred mentaiko sauce, and topped with tobiko and nori.

Alternatively, you can give their Cream’d Moonlight Spinach ($13++) a shot. This delightful dish consists of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, a generous amount of cream and spinach, charred pine nuts, nutmeg, and an onsen egg on top.

Those with a sweet tooth like myself could never forgo desserts. Get their House Croffles ($13++), topped with dark chocolate gelato, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and a dollop of whipped cream. This pleasant dessert is just what you need after a satisfying meal.
