Sen-ryo to open in Suntec City

If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine and frequent central Singapore, here’s some exciting news: the well-known Japanese chain, Sen-ryo, will open in Suntec City soon with outlet-exclusive items! Following the success of their first outlet at ION Orchard, this marks their second branch in Singapore.

Sen-ryo has consistently drawn crowds for their value-for-money lunch sets, and high quality, legit Japanese fare. They were founded in Tochigi, Japan, back in 1999, but are much better known in Hong Kong, where there are 15 Sen-ryo outlets!

Get the most bang for your buck with their lunch sets that start from $15.80++. Max it out with Sen-ryo Special Bento ($29.80++), for a bento tray of nine premium assorted items, as well as a side of miso soup, and rice. The bento boasts an array of ebi tempura, unagi, sashimi and more.

Do note that their set lunches are not available on weekends, eves of, and on public holidays.

For something different, there’s Sen-ryo DIY Uni (market price), which lets you create your own uni maki roll. You can craft it with ikura, fresh shredded cucumber, and premium air-flown uni as the finishing touch.

A must-try at Sen-ryo is their Zuwaigani Soy Nabe ($48++), a Singapore-exclusive nabemono, or hotpot, brimming with zuwaigani, AKA snow crab, scallops, vegetables, and chewy kuzukiri noodles in a creamy broth made from Japanese soya beans.

End it off on a sweet note with their decadent sweets, one of which is this traditional Japanese wagashi, Mizu Warabi Mochi ($5.80++), that’s dusted with nutty kinako powder and doused in kuromitsu, a brown sugar syrup. Also, don’t miss out on their other seasonal desserts which include Peach Sorbet ($11.80++), Yuzu Sorbet ($11.80++) and more.

This new Sen-ryo will sit on the first floor in Tower Five of Suntec City, a six-minute walk from Esplanade MRT Station.
