Pocha in a Forest on Prinsep Street
Take a trip to Korea without having to fly there when you visit Pocha In A Forest. Run by a Singaporean-Korean duo, Pocha In A Forest is a new bistro situated on Prinsep Street, serving a range of authentic Korean street food and drinks.

What makes them stand out from the crowd is their pojangmacha━the iconic red tents you see in all K-dramas. If you didn’t know, pojangmacha are small, tented street stalls, typically found along the streets of Korea, serving local street food such as tteokbokki, hotteok, and more.
We can’t go to Korea right now, so Pocha In A Forest has brought the experience right here, complete with a red tent, yellow plastic chairs, and tiny metal tables.

Chomp on Dried Pollack Fish ($12), Fried Prawn Head ($12), and Chicken Heart Skewers ($12) when you dine in the pojangmacha, and order yourself a signature Ice Beer ($15 a pint) to wash it all down. Pocha In A Forest claims to be the first Korean eatery in Singapore to serve this. The glass is pre-frozen before serving, which causes the foam to form icicles on the outside of the glass.
If not, Pocha In A Forest also serves a range of soju ($18) and makgeolli (from $24), for those who prefer these drinks to beer.

Bar bites and drinks aside, try their Kimchi Fried Rice ($15) or Fish Cake Soup ($16) for a substantial and comforting meal. If not, opt for the Kimchi Pizza ($18), served with a tomato base, and topped with bacon, kimchi, and cheese. However, do note that these items are only available at dinner.
If you are hankering for a Korean meal during lunchtime, fret not, as Pocha In A Forest has lunch specials, including Spicy Instant Noodle ($12), Bibimbap ($16), and Stir Fried Noodles ($14). For something light and perfect for sharing, try their selection of kimbap, which come with either vegetables ($7), tuna ($9), or beef ($11) fillings.

If you’re just dropping into Pocha In A Forest for the beer, consider popping over to 90 Minutes for a tteokbokki buffet ahead of that! There’s dessert at PlusEightTwo too, which is conveniently located along Prinsep Street as well.
