A couple of years ago, IKEA Singapore had released a couple of localised cakes in conjunction with Hari Raya Celebrations. The whole cake series includes Ondeh-Ondeh, Durian Chendol, and you guessed it, Pulut Hitam Cake. Fret not, if you have missed out IKEA’s version of Pulut Hitam Cake. McDonald’s Singapore has just rolled out Pulut Hitam Cake and it looks glorious!

McDonald’s has just released Pulut Hitam Cake and it is now available in McCafe kiosks. Unlike IKEA’s version that resembles Red Velvet Cake from far, McDonald’s latest cake is purple in colour. To be exact, the Instagram-worthy cake appears to be lilac. Breaking down the cake layer by layer, it is decked with black glutinous rice spread between soft sponge cakes.

As for the grand finale, it is topped off with creamy coconut mousse. Pulut Hitam Cake is said to be well-paired with McDonald’s Cappuccino. This duo is a match made in heaven for tea time, don’t you think so? Lotus Biscoff enthusiasts will be glad to know that every hot beverage from McCafe now comes with Lotus Biscoff biscuits, too.

Now Available In McCafe Kiosks Islandwide

Pulut Hitam Cake is available via while stocks last basis. If you would love to try it, remember to drop by early to get a slice of cake home!
