Not to be confused with Market Street Interim Hawker Centre, Interim Market is located on Sentosa island instead of the main island of Singapore.

The weekends exclusive only Interim market only operates from Friday evening till Sunday night and is home to 6 different brands.

Getting there will require some time and effort as Interim Market is located at Southside Sentosa, which may not sound familiar to many.

Take the Sentosa Express and alight at Beach Station before transferring to Sentosa Bus A or C with a frequency every 10 – 15 minutes.

Alight at Siloso Point Stop, 2 stops away from Beach Station, next to Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa and head over to the sheltered walkway made from orange metal containers.

Registration at the counter is required unlike other Food Halls and they will allocate a table thereafter, as it operates both as a food hall for walk-in customers and a restaurant for those who made a reservation online.

This is the confusing part for many people due to the different payment methods and menu available.

Walk-in customers will be directed to the Main Hall of the Interim Market with both alfresco and indoors options, both with QR code printed on each table for menu and ordering purposes.

Customers can simply order from their allocated seats and food will be prepared and served upon completing the mobile payment.

Those who are looking for a drink will be allocated a counter seat at Glugland and Junglefowl for some Cocktails, Craft Beers and beverages.

Those who made their reservation online will have their seats assigned with a choice of 2 exclusive set menus, not available for walk-in customers.

These include the 4-Course Set Menu for 2 at $58++ per person from 4 AM Pizza or a 5-Course Diner Set Menu (Includes 1 Pizza) For 2 at $68++ per person from 4 AM x Luckys Diner.

Walk-in customer can look forward to French food by 5 by Sans-Façon from Seletar Aerospace Park to artisanal ice cream makers & wine bar Legato, Craft Beers Glugland and Junglefowl, 4 AM Pizza, Luckys and Buns2Buns.

One thing to note, some items are already sold out by late afternoon.

From 5 by Sans-Façon, expect French-style cuisine such as Seabass ($21.90), Octo Dog ($20.80), 250g Mussels ($23), Seafood Pasta ($21) and Truffle Fries.

Drizzled with truffle oil and parmesan cheese, the thick-cut truffle fries comes in a generous serving and were of the right textures: crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.

My favourite dish comes from Buns2Buns, serving BM Pig Burger Double Too ($17.50), B Burger ($18.50) and The Party B Quarter Pounder ($29.90).

The BM Pig Burger Double Too ($17.50) comes with Bakkwa chorizo and patty made from pork shoulders and pork belly, sesame cabbage salad and Yuzu Kosho mayonnaise.

The soft and fluffy buns were buttered before grilling, giving it a light crispy crunch, in contrast to the soft and moist patty.

There was a good balance between the refreshing and citrus flavour from the Yuzu Kosho Mayonnaise, and the earthy flavours from the meat patties.

Legato on the other hand serves Ice cream (Single $5.50 – $7.50), Specialty coffee (Black $4, White $5) and Wine.

With a limited number of flavours, classic ones include Vegan Coconut Sorbet ($5.50), Piedmont Hazelnut ($6.50), Silician Pistachio ($7.50) and Pine Nut ($7.50), slightly on the pricier side compared to more ice cream places.

Similar to a burrata in the form of an ice cream, my scoop of Olive Oil with Sea Salt Flakes ($6.50) has an interesting savoury taste, made from olive with milk-based ice cream, drizzled with more olive oil and sea salt for the extra oomph.

In the interim, Interim Market at Southside Sentosa provides a new getaway place away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
