Located in a coffee shop in Sin Ming Road, Hup Seng Duck Rice is a popular duck rice stall which is known for their braised duck rice, braised pork as well as salted vegetables soup.
The braised duck was tender with a nice layer of fats. It was accompanied with a saucy, savoury and delicious dark sauce.
The braised pork, on the other hand, wasn’t as tender and fat as we would like. It was decent, but nothing out of the world.
A plate of braised duck rice starts from S$5 while you can get a whole braised duck at S$42.
We reached Hup Seng Duck Rice at 1.45pm and managed to get the last serving of braised duck before they closed. Unfortunately, the Salted Vegetable Duck Soup was already sold out for the day and we didn’t get to try it.
Hup Seng Duck Rice starts as early as 8am, but do note that the salted vegetable duck soup is only available from 9.30am onwards. Be prepared to queue up during lunch time and they close by 2pm.
