GelatiAmo at One-north

Helmed by Italian Chef Loris Massimini, newly-opened GelatiAmo is the sister restaurant to Ristorante Pietrasanta━both of which are located in Fusionopolis. The gelato here is made daily and stored pozzetti-style—inside metal cylindrical tubs with a lid—just like how it’s done in Italy.

The cafe transports one to the Mediterranean countryside with their terrazzo tables and rattan chairs. GelatiAmo seats up to 30 people, and is also suitable as a workspace, with power sockets conveniently located all around.

A Single scoop of gelato here is $4.20, while a Double scoop will set you back $7.70. You can also enjoy premium flavours such as Ferrero Rocher, Pistachio, Chocolate for an additional $0.80 per scoop. To make things sweeter, GelatiAmo is having an opening promotion of one-for-one scoops from 18 to 19 February. Simply follow and like their Instagram and Facebook pages to redeem your deal.

This is your opportunity to try unique flavours such as the Burrata Balsamico ($5 for single), which takes inspiration from Pietrasanta’s balsamic cheesecake. Chef Loris cuts the richness of the mascarpone cheese with 12 year-old Giuseppe Giusti Balsamic Vinegar, to create a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.

GelatiAmo also has seasonal specials on the menu. For the time being, customers can look forward to the vegan Almond and Turmeric gelato, which is made from whole almond milk and spiced with turmeric powder. Other flavours on rotation include Champagne Grapefruit and Orange sorbet.

In addition to Waffles ($9.80 with one scoop), GelatiAmo offers Brioche and Square Cinnamon-coated Doughnuts ($6.50 with one scoop) to go along with the gelato. Have your choice of flavour in an ice-cream sandwich style with the fluffy buns, or opt for the doughnuts to have your gelato as a topping.

There is also a small selection of desserts on the menu such as the mainstay Tiramisu ($8.90), Dark Chocolate Mousse ($7.90) and Panna Cotta Butterscotch ($5.90)

Bombolinis ($2.50 for plain, $3.50 for flavoured) are also available here. Each serving gets you seven mini donuts, with the White Chocolate Sprinkles and Milk Chocolate being kids’ favourites.
