Keng Eng Kee Seafood has new Punggol Restaurant

Keng Eng Kee Seafood is zi char royalty at this point. The restaurant has garnered plenty of acclaim over its 50-year history, including consecutive Michelin Plates and a recommendation from the late Anthony Bourdain. Its success led to the opening of its second outlet in Tampines last year, and come January 2024, Keng Eng Kee will open its third restaurant in SAFRA Punggol.

This upcoming outlet will sport an interesting interior design. With different sections of the restaurant made to look like old bus stops, ERP gantries, and even Punggol MRT Station, you’ll be enjoying the restaurant’s signature zi char dishes amid these unmistakably local sights.

Keng Eng Kee Seafood Punggol will have a few outlet exclusives, such as the Grilled Assorted Seafood with KEK Homemade Sauce (price TBD), featuring fresh tiger prawns, clams, mushrooms, and vermicelli slathered in KEK Seafood’s signature sauce, and the Otah Charcoal Fried Dough Fritters with Salad (price TBD), which is essentially smoky otah paired with crispy charcoal-fried dough fritters.

Be sure not to miss out on Keng Eng Kee’s classic dishes, such as the Signature Moonlight Horfun (from $10.80+). This dish sees hor fun wok-fried with dark soy sauce, lup cheong, prawns, and sliced fish, and topped with a raw egg or two for that “moonlight” appearance.

Another must-try is the Coffee Pork Ribs (from $19.80+). Coated in a flavourful and sweet coffee sauce, this juicy meat dish was one of our favourites when we tried the fare at the Tampines outlet.

There is also a range of top seafood dishes to choose from, including the Stir Fried Thin Bee Hoon with Crab (market price), Salted Egg Prawns (from $27.80+) and more. If you’re a seafood or zi char fan, mark your calendars to not miss out on the opening of Keng Eng Kee Seafood at SAFRA Punggol!
