What contributes to a good plate of rojak? It starts off with nicely cut fresh fruits, chopped crunchy and doughy fried fritters, sliced cuttlefish, and century eggs. Of course, the sauce and grind nuts right on top play an important role to elevate the flavours! No doubt, rojak makes the perfect sharing piece when you’re having meals with friends, and family. Brothers Rojak is not a hidden gem, everyone knows that it is one of the best places to get rojak in Singapore. As the name may have suggested, the humble rojak stall is operated by two brothers. Throughout the years of operations, Brothers Rojak has amassed a good amount of media attention, as well as some local awards for their delightful rojak.

Watching the owners assemble a plate of rojak is a real treat. It all starts with cutting fresh fruits and vegetables with finesse. With cucumbers, pineapple, turnips, and more on the plate, the dish certainly comes to life with bright colours. Then, these fresh produces are joined together with tau pok, and of course, no rojak is complete with some youtiao.

With all of these ingredients on the plate, it is time to mix the sauce together to top it off. It is a combination of shrimp paste, sugar, grind nuts, torch ginger flower, and some secret sauce. Mixed them up together with the ingredients, and you will have a beautiful mess! If you didn’t know already, you can add century eggs on the side of your rojak. Cuttlefish can be added on, too.

Those who had the opportunity to try it mentioned that the paste by Brothers Rojak is pretty thick. As for the taste, the sauce has a savoury note, and not as sweet. It balances well with the fresh fruits that exude sweetness! There are different sizes available for rojak right here. The price starts at $3.50 per plate. Will you be trying this wonderful mess with your friends?
