From starry-eyed children to the hardiest of men, few can resist the cuteness of Sanrio’s famous long-eared white puppy, Cinnamoroll. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the widely beloved character, a Cinnamoroll pop-up cafe is opening on 19 August 2022 at Kumoya!

In addition to the adorable Cinnamaroll decor that you see in the pictures above, a limited-time menu curated and styled by Little Miss Bento’s Shirley Wong will be available at the cafe. We can’t say for sure if the food will actually taste good, but there’s no denying that these creations are great for the ‘gram.

Take the Flying Clouds Cinnamoroll Cheese Burger ($25+), for instance. While its contents sound solid enough—a teriyaki beef patty is joined by melted cheddar cheese, Japanese tamago, and fresh veggies—those Cinnamoroll mantou buns will inevitably steal the show. You can request for a chicken katsu or plant-based patty instead of the default beef one.

If there’s any dish that can be considered ‘too cute to eat’, it’s the Fluffy Dreamland Japanese Seafood Curry Rice ($28.90+), which comprises a sleeping Cinnamoroll constructed out of rice that’s tucked away in an omelette blanket. The rest of the dish features various seafood karaage, salad, cheddar cheese, and house-made Japanese Curry.

Those with a sweet tooth should go for the On-Cloud-9 Cinnamoroll Caramel Waffle ($25.90+). With Kumoya’s famous buttery waffle as its base, a whole ton of cutesy and sugary delights are added to it, including butterfly pea flower ice cream, caramel popcorn, marshmallow and more.

As for drinks, the Cutie Fluffy Cinnamoroll Yuzu Soda ($16.90+) stands out the most, and it’s in part due to the massive size of that cotton candy Cinnamoroll head that sits atop your glass of soda. Any drink you order at the cafe will get you a free Cinnamoroll coaster, so you can take home some of the character’s endearing charm, too.
