After closing its shutters in 2018, Chin Mee Chin Confectionery was reported to reopen back in March 2021. However, the news was quickly debunked. Now, Chin Mee Chin Confectionery is reported to open next month. An F&B group, Ebb & Flow Group has formed a partnership was the family behind the humble coffee shop, Tan Family. This was reported by The Straits Times.

With negotiations being finalised in July last year, the Tan family will be working hand in hand with Lim Kian Chun, Ebb & Flow Group’s chief executive, and Chef Maxine Ngooi, from Tigerlily Patisserie. Although the location and decorations remain the same, Chin Mee Chin will be doubling up its seating capacity, now with 50 seats available.

Although it is set to open in May, the actual date of the opening has yet to be confirmed by any outlets. When it is open, you will need to try out the famous charcoal-grilled buns, slabbed with thick kaya and butter. Don’t forget about dunking it in soft-boiled eggs. It is always a good idea to pair your breakfast with freshly brewed coffee! Truly heavenly.
