Yusheng delivery this Chinese New Year

The CNY festivities this year will continue to be muted, with the five-person gathering rules not seeing any relaxation any time soon. No matter, because wealth, abundance, and good health are still blessings we wish for in the year ahead. Get a headstart on the celebrations with a different yusheng than the usual, with our list of yusheng to order this CNY. Many of these offer delivery too!

1. Red House Seafood

The Prosperity Salmon Yu Sheng at Red House Seafood comes in two sizes: $48+, and $68+, which are good to serve four to six, and eight persons respectively. Get them included in the Festive Reunion Sets, available for takeaway on their website, or a la carte when you call their outlets at either Clarke Quay or Grand Copthorne Waterfront.

Unlike your usual yusheng, their rendition comes with a plum dressing that’s jazzed up with dragonfruit and passionfruit. You’ll also find shreds of kaffir lime leaf here, which lend an aromatic edge to the sweet-sour salad.

Delivery is free for orders above $250, or charged at $12 a location.

2. Shisen Hanten

Two Michelin-starred Shisen Hanten is known for their Sichuan cuisine, but the Chinese restaurant has also got your yusheng covered with their Prosperity Salmon Yu Sheng, available in $78 and $128 sizes. Top up $16 if you’re looking for crispy fish skin to add on!

Otherwise, there are more indulgent options if you dine-in at the restaurant, with the Abundance Lobster Yu Sheng ($88++/$148++), Fortune Abalone and Salmon Yu Sheng ($98++/$148++), or Wealthy Abalone, Amaebi and Salmon Yu Sheng ($128++/$188++).

DBS Cardholders enjoy 20% off Shisen Hanten’s CNY takeaways when you check out with the code ‘SHISENDBSCNY‘. Place your orders at least three days in advance through their ordering platform, over the phone at 6831 6262, or by emailing [email protected].

3. Din Tai Fung

Xiao long bao specialist Din Tai Fung fares no less deliciously with their Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng ($48.80++), which comes with slices of Norwegian smoked salmon. They’ve also got a meatless option—Prosperity Vegetarian Yu Sheng ($39.80++). Both versions, good for four to six diners, are accompanied by a delicate house-made plum sauce that’s got just the right touch of sweet-tanginess, and Crispy Yam Strips, unlike your usual crackers.

Service charge is not included when you order Din Tai Fung’s yusheng to-go. Simply head to your nearest outlet to purchase it, or drop them a call to pre-order, while stocks last. If you’re paying with an OCBC card, enjoy 10% off your yusheng here!

MasterChef SG judge Damian D’Silva’s take on yusheng at Rempapa is Loh Hei ($38+), a rojak-inspired salad that is sufficient for two to four. Ruby-red pomegranate seeds accent the myriad fresh fruit and vegetables on this plate, including pineapple, pomelo, green mango, guava, and jicama. Served with ginger flower, peanut brittle, chee cheong fun, and you tiao, Chef D’Silva has concocted a savoury-sweet plum and sesame sauce that to toss it all with.
