Smile Dessert 酒窝甜品
534 North Bridge Road, #01-01, Singapore 188749 (Bugis MRT)
Opening Hours: 11am – 3am (Mon – Sun)
(tentative soft opening hours, and may change)

Pink-Themed 3-Storey Instagrammable Dessert Cafe At Bugis
If you frequent heading to the Bugis area, you would be familiar with this 3-storey space along North Bridge Road right opposite Bugis Junction, at one end of the bustling Tan Quee Lan street.

Smile Dessert is planing to be opened for 24 hours daily, but that would only be something later after its soft launch. (Currently tentative hours are 11am to 3am, while stocks last.)

It is supposedly a China-based international dessert chain with more than 1500 outlets in various countries around the world.

The chain is known for its creative takes on traditional Chinese desserts along with its aesthetic ‘instagrammable’ over-the-top offerings.

True enough, the exterior is already painted in a striking bubble-gum pink. As for the interior…

A Pink Panther toy lies on a bed of balls, a baby pink trolley somewhere, a flamingo-pink Christmas tree is on the third storey facing light-pink sofa. Oh gosh, even the toilet bowl is in magenta-pink.

The menu is divided into Souffle, Lava Cake, Korean Bingsu, Traditional Desserts, Cakes and Pastries, Smoothies, Fruit Tea to Milk Tea. Good for a refreshing drink after BBQ nearby, but be prepared to WAIT. Smile Dessert 酒窝甜品 (Bugis)

A Beautiful Day

Opening Hours: 11am – 11pm (Mon – Fri), 3pm – 10pm (Sat), 12pm – 10pm (Sun)

Pink Floral & Safari Theme Cafe With Bandung Soufflé Pancakes
Opened by the folks behind OSG at Suntec City, the 80 seater-space indoors is divided into 3 sections.

This includes a floral “Pink Sugar” corner for the #OOTD shot, a Safari theme dining area, and a warm and cosy ‘living room’.

The Pink Sugar corner is definitely the most eye-catching section with pink-overdose, decked in all pink from the phone booth stuffed with roses to the walls, sofas, coffee tables and neon lights.

I almost thought that I was in a furniture shop as the “living room” is well-equipped with all the chairs, cushions, carpet – just like a showroom.

In addition, there are also Pink Sugar exclusive dishes such as the Red Velvet Latte (Hot $7, Iced $8) and the Pink Sugar Bandung Soufflé Pancakes ($15.90). A Beautiful Day (Changi City Point)

Muslim-Owned Pink Moroccan-Style Cafe At East Coast
Inspired by the Moroccan architectures, the iconic “horseshoe” arch can be seen from their windows and doorways from a distance.

Stepping inside, I felt like I had stepped into Marrakesh, one of the four historical capital cities of Morocco.

It is also known as the “Rose City” due to the natural red clay used to tint their buildings.

Inside, the entire 70-seater space is painted in rose pink and gold, equipped with rattan chairs, and exudes a Mediterranean charm with a unique dining experience.

Two different menus are available, namely an all-day brunch starting from 8am and Lunch & Dinner from 11am onwards, with the incorporation of Arabic spices and ingredients in most of their dishes.

For their all-day brunch menu, signature dishes include the Majorelle Shakshuka with Feta Cheese ($19.90), Ziz Latkes Potato Pancakes ($12.90), Maghreb Baghrir Pancakes ($15.90), La Sultana Pandan Pancakes ($16.90) and Kasbah Brioche French Toast ($18.90). La Vie (Jalan Besar)

Brown Butter

Opening Hours: 11am – 8:30pm (Mon – Sun)

Avocado And Beetroot-Centric Cafe With Pink And Teal Colours
From the folks behind the Over-The-Top Milkshakes at Benjamin Browns and Flying Noodles at Hana restaurant, one would expect their newest venture would be another Instagram hit.

True enough, the entire space at Brown Butter is full of Instagram spots; from a wall full of pink roses to an entire pink shelf, pink fridge and a dual tone wall decked in pink and teal for the perfect #OOTD shot.

Apart from the layout in pink and teal, the food and drinks menu also consisted of pink and green food, mainly beetroot for the pink hue and avocado for the green, ensuring that healthy food looks as Instagram-worthy.

Their desserts menu is short and concise with avocado incorporated within, namely Avocado Pancakes ($18), The Works ($21) served with bacon and sunny side up, Avo Waffles ($16) and Torched Avocado Cheesecake ($12). Brown Butter (Orchard Road)

Antea Social
9 Tyrwhitt Road, Singapore 207528
Opening Hours: 11:30am – 7pm (Sun – Thu), 11:30am – 10pm (Fri – Sat)

Contemporary Oriental Specialty Teahouse With Elegant Pink Interior At Jalan Besar
The owner believed that Antea Social is about tea and socialising, ie conversation over a cup of tea, and thus its name.

The entrance of the cafe stood out from the rest of the units along the shophouse.

Decked in baby pink with a huge circular glass window which resembled that of a full moon, the 20-seaters cafe eludes a cosy vibe with a double-storeys tall ceiling and hanging lights inside.

With a small curated menu that offers Hot Tea ($6), Iced Tea ($6.50) and Sliced Cakes ($8 each).

The experience is personal as each tea set is served with a teapot, an hour glass which acts as a timer, an empty glass to pour out the tea once the tea leaves have been brewed for 3 minutes and a small tea cup of your choice.

The Lychee Oolong is my cup of tea (pun intended) among the tea selection as it was very fragrant and aromatic with fruity and floral notes.

To appreciate this cup of tea, I was told to take a deep breath before taking a sip which aids in the full experience. Antea Social (Jalan Besar)

Amber Ember
730 Upper Serangoon Road, #01-01, Singapore 534613
Opening Hours: 10am – 5pm (Tues – Fri), 10am – 6pm (Sat – Sun), Closed Mon

Charming Chic Café With Dusty Pink Interiors At Serangoon
Amber Ember is located off Serangoon Central, at a standalone building situated next to Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre.

I was greeted with a store dressed with dusty pink interiors, which was charming in its own ways.

If the usual bright pastel pink is not your kind of colour, rest assured the desaturated pink blush were not in any way intimidating. In fact, I found the place relaxing to unwind over a cup of coffee.

Their brunch menu revolves around a range of jaffles options. From savoury; Truffle Shrooms ($11) and K-Pork ($10) to sweets; PB & Jelly ($8) and Chocobanana ($8).

I went for the Pablo’s Beef ($10) which came with minced beef, capsicum and loads of melted mozzarella cheese. Sinful, but I like. Amber Ember (Upper Serangoon)

Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee – Fusionopolis

Pastel Pink And Blue Cafe With Oat Cold Brew At Fusionopolis
Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee’s 3rd outlet is located at Fusionopolis, sharing the same space as Super Simple that focuses on protein and salad bowls.

The 40-seaters space is beautifully decked in pretty pastel pink and blue tone with a botanical theme and a small coffee counter that can only accommodate 2 persons.

Their menu here includes items of Double Espresso ($3.50), Long Black ($4.50), Piccolo Latte ($4.50), Cappuccino ($5), Latte ($5), Flat White ($5) and Mocha Latte ($5.50) with add-on such as Ice (+$0.50), Espresso shot (+$1.20) and Oatmilk (+$1).

Their house blend is the same across all 3 outlets, a 2 beans-blend of 50% Colombia and 50% Guatemala roasted in house.

The result is a well-balanced, smooth, medium bodied with a chocolatey, caramelised and nutty taste in a 6oz cup. Tiong Hoe Specialty Coffee (Fusionopolis)

Other than that, many head there for refreshing drinks of Four Season Spring Snowberg, Four Season Spring Tea, Pineapple with Jasmine Fruit Mix, Passion Fruit with Lemon Fruit Mix, Caramel with Brown Sugar Pearl Fusion, and Strawberry with Brown Sugar Pearl Fusion.
