New York-Style Bakery At Jalan Kledek

Opened back in 2018, this bakery has come a long way. Having weathered the storm that is the pandemic, they are still thriving with a lot of loyal and hungry customers. They continue to serve a plethora of delicious baked goods with a smile on their face! Their welcoming personality translates to their decor as well. It has a classy look with a dark olive colour. You’ll come for the pastries, but you’ll stay for everything else.

While they open at 11am, the staff are hard at work prepping for their day ahead. In anticipation of their hungry customers, they prep a huge batch of different doughs and ingredients. They can’t afford to make any mistakes in measurement as they can’t afford to lose any of their prepped components before baking. Despite the intense workload, they remain to be wholesome and welcoming.

Sweet And Savoury Baked Delights

The Garlic Twist ($7.00) is a buttery delight. It is flaky and rich, also it is certainly not lacking in garlic flavour. In fact, if you are not a fan of garlic- or if you’re a vampire, this might not be for you. But if you are a fan, you are definitely in for a treat! Each bite is rich with garlic and butter flavour that leaves you wanting more. The crust itself is unbelievable flaky with many layers on top of each other.

Their Quiche ($7.00) is a texture sensation. It has chunks of snappy sausage that permeates its flavour across the entire Quiche. The egg is fluffy and soft. The crust of course, is buttery and toothsome. All and all it is a perfect brunch item to fill you belly!

Now, let’s talk about the sweets! This is their Morning Bun ($7.00). It is one of their most popular items that they serve. And for very good reason. It has the same classic flaky crust, but covered in cinnamon sugar. The best part is the filling. While the chocolate top is what you might expect in a regular pastry, it is also filled with a tart berry jam to balance the sweetness. It is this level of attention to detail that makes this Bakery thrive so greatly!

And last but not least, the Almond Croissant ($6.50). This might seem like your garden variety croissant but it is much more than that. You can choose to have your croissant filled with a mango curd. The filling is nice and soft. The mango flavour is rather tame, but it perfectly flavours the entire croissant! If you’re going to get anything, this croissant is a must-try.
