One of the most sought-after foods here in Singapore is Halal Japanese Udon Noodles! A lot of Muslims crave the taste of authentic Japanese Udon but most of the time it isn’t halal. Luckily, Fu-Men Japanese Udon & Donburi serves some of the best authentic and delicious Udon- which happens to be Halal! With their new outlet opening at Pasir Ris this month, let us show you what you have to look forward to!

Toshihiro Munemori is a Chef and co-owner of Fu-men restaurant. One of their current goals is to fill the needs of Muslim customers who, for the most part, lack halal Japanese options in Singapore. They serve authentic Japanese Udon using the freshest ingredients and traditional Japanese techniques, including hand-pulled noodles! Not only is their food amazing, but the people are as well! Hurry down today to get a taste!

Their noodles are perfectly chewy, clinging to their broth nicely. Their Beef Udon Soup ($16.05) has a deep, beefy flavour. The broth is the star of the show- perfectly salted and filled with umami flavour with two slices of Narutomaki for added salty and fishy notes. This is by far their most popular dish, nothing beats a classic!

While their Beef Udon is indeed popular, their other Udon dishes are just as amazing! Their Kashiwa Udon ($12.84) is their Chicken Stew Udon Soup, which features a clean chicken broth, big chunks of chicken as well as their signature chewy noodles! Also, another crowd favourite is their Gobo Tempura Udon ($12.84), which is their Japanese Burdock Tempura Udon Soup. It uses the same beef broth but adds crisp Burdock Tempura that provides texture to an already brilliant dish!
