88 K Town is a new Korean restaurant in Bugis
Bugis is known for being a treasure trove of good grub—just take a look at our extensive guide to the best food in Bugis! If you frequent the area and you’re a fan of Korean food, visit 88 K Town, the latest addition to Bugis Junction.
According to their Instagram, the new restaurant houses five popular Korean restaurants under one roof: Burger+, Nipong Naepong, Masizzim, Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory, and 88 Pocha. If Burger+ sounds familiar, that’s because the Korean-inspired burger joint was around for a while, until it closed its shutters in 2021.
You’ll also find the ever-popular jjamppong AKA spicy seafood noodles from Nipong Naepong, which has an outlet at 313@Somerset. This Chinese-Korean noodle dish is said to come with a kick of spice and wok hei.
Then there’s the famous Chir Chir Fusion Chicken Factory, known for their Korean fried chicken in flavours including Garlicky Soy and Honey Butter.

Different portions and cuts are available, so you can customise your order depending on how many people you’re dining with.
If you’re looking for something comforting, try the Oden Soup from 88 Pocha. Known for its quirky pojangmacha-style decor, the Korean restaurant has two outlets across the island: Holland Village and Kovan.

There’s also Masizzim, another 313@Somerset restaurant popular for their DIY rice balls.
The 60-seater is located on the second floor of the mall. We don’t have much information about the prices of the dishes as of now, but we’ll update this story once we get more details!
If you’re looking for a sweet fix in the area, head to the newly revamped Tom’s Palette! The Middle Road cafe has 36 gelato flavours to choose from. Otherwise, read our coverage on Joo Bar, a Korean restaurant bar in Bugis with unique rice wine flavours.
