If you’re a fan of smoked salmon and sourdough bread, then this is the perfect dish for you. This tasty treat is served with sourdough toast, smoked salmon, burrata, garlic roasted cherry tomatoes, arugula, and parmesan cheese. The sourdough is toasted nicely, giving it amazing crispiness. Do however eat it fast as it gets hard after a while, making it a struggle to cut afterwards. As for the smoked salmon, it is well-seasoned, with the black pepper adding a touch of heat.

The flavour of the burrata pairs well with the salmon, with its tanginess adding brightness to help lift the dish. As for the tomatoes, there is a slight bitterness from the charred exterior, with the acidity giving a beautiful balance to the savouriness of the salmon. Additionally, the rocket leaves give an extra touch of crunch and flavour to each bite. Have everything together and what you’ll get is an incredible symphony of flavours!
Banana Nut Butter Toast ($8)

One of their signature dishes, the Banana Nut Butter Toast is the perfect mix of brunch and dessert. The toast is crispy, giving it a slight bitterness while the bananas add sweetness and creaminess. Additionally, the banana is lightly salted to bring out more of its flavour. The highlight is definitely the nut butter as it has a beautiful creaminess like peanut butter while having an amazing nuttiness to it. Each bite is an incredible blend of flavours that’ll leave you wanting more!

Moving on to the desserts, the Sourdough Sticky Bun is something you don’t see very often and Yeast Side does theirs fantastically well! The bun is delightfully soft and fluffy, giving it an amazing texture. The smell and taste of cinnamon is pretty strong in this dessert, perfect for those who are a fan of it. Stuck on top of the bun are lightly-salted pecans that are drizzled with sticky cinnamon sauce, giving the perfect blend of sweet and savoury and an extra crunch.
Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Brownie ($5)

Lastly, you can certainly never go wrong with a brownie for dessert. Using sea salt, it helps to bring out the flavour of the chocolate, making it more prominent. It did however taste more like your sweet milk chocolate rather than dark chocolate as there was hardly any trace of bitterness. The brownie has a nice bite to it, with more of the gooey chocolate goodness in the middle. Overall, it is definitely still a pretty tasty brownie, with a good balance of sweet and salty. As the chocolate gets a little heavy after a while, it’s the perfect dessert for sharing!
