Established in 1969, Guan Kee Fried Kway Teow started out as a street stall at Thye Hong Centre before shifting to Ghim Moh Food Centre in 1978. The legendary stall has been there ever since and continues drawing huge crowds to this day! Although the waiting time is usually at least 30 minutes, do remember that good things come to those who wait! With a Michelin Bib Gourmand under their belt, you’ll most certainly be in for a treat!

The Char Kway Teow ($4) comes with a generous amount of ingredients like fishcake, egg, lup cheong, cockles, pork lard, and vegetable, delivering an amazing contrast of textures and flavours to the noodles! The noodles here are perfectly cooked, delivering a beautiful burst of flavours, with a kick of spice to lift the dish! Additionally, the wok hey adds an incredible smokiness that gives each bite a harmonious balance of flavours!
For those who love their pork lard, you will definitely enjoy the tasty golden nuggets served here! Served in big and crispy chunks, it elevates the dish with its umami and crunch, making it simply divine when paired with the noodles!
