Previously at Yishun, the stall relocated to Bedok only a few years ago. Fun fact, the owner, Mr Yap, is actually the uncle of Ah Guan Noodles and the brother of Ah Lam’s Abalone Noodles! Looks like seafood noodles run in the family! Mr Yap was previously selling the normal version of bak chor mee for 15 years before he moved his current stall to Bedok. With the relocation, he decided to switch things up and serve seafood with his bak chor mee.

Yong He’s Bak Chor Seafood Noodles ($5), comes with fresh prawns, clams, minced pork, braised mushrooms. and of course, pork lard. The noodles are well-cooked and have the perfect QQ texture. Perfectly mixed with the sauce, the flavours are well-balanced with hints of vinegar. Additionally, it doesn’t overpower the seafood ingredients, allowing you to savour the freshness and sweetness. The braised mushrooms have a strong depth of flavour and elevate the dish when eaten with the noodles. Simply delightful!

For those who prefer more a little more seafood, you can opt for the Signature Noodle ($6) that comes with an additional scallop and abalone. For those who are feeling even more boujee, you can even add crayfish to your noodles! The Watercress Lala and Meatball Soup ($5) comes highly recommend. Its sweet and light flavours make it the perfect pairing with the savoury notes of the noodles. Definitely a good palate cleanser!
