When you are in Jew Kit Hainanese Chicken Rice, you will need to try out Fried Hokkien Mee. Cooked with a breath of wok, or ‘wok hei’, Jew Kit truly nails their version of Fried Hokkien Mee. It all starts with gravy made from rich stock. Every slurp is promised to be a tasty one with a little tinge of soy sauce.
The mixture of yellow noodles and vermicelli rice noodles certainly elevates the texture of the dish. The simple yet beautiful dish is topped with beansprouts, fresh prawns, and fresh squids. No Fried Hokkien Mee is complete without some homemade sambal on the side and a lime. Make sure to freshly squeeze it before consuming it!
Of course, chicken rice is available here, too. A plate of Hainanese Chicken Rice, anyone?
