Ng Kuan’s Fried Pork Ban Mian ($6.80) is simply to die for! The scrumptious dish comes with a side of heavenly fried pork belly slices along with a bowl of their tasty ban mian. The fragrant aroma of the hae bi hits you as soon as you take a whiff! The chilli isn’t too overpowering, making it perfect for those who can’t really handle their spice. Be sure to mix the ikan bilis and fried garlic with the noodles to have a burst of umami with every bite! Additionally, mixing the egg with the noodles adds a creamy texture to it, as well as helping to balance out the spiciness.

The star of the dish is no doubt the fried pork! Crispy on the outside, with a beautiful layer of fat that simply melts in your mouth! Seasoned perfectly with a kick of pepperiness, pair the pork with the noodles for an explosion of flavour! For those who aren’t really fans of pork, you can opt for their chicken cutlet instead! The batter is super crispy and seasoned well, but the meat is slightly dry. Overall, it is still a pretty decent dish!
