The Singapore Food & Beverage Fair 2023 returns to EXPO

Singapore is home to plenty of themed food festivals, but the Singapore Food & Beverage Fair is definitely one of the largest. If you’re an avid foodie, you’ll want to get excited, as the fair is slated to return to the Singapore EXPO from 16 March to 19 March, from 11am to 10pm boasting a line-up of over 200 exhibitors, and 1,000 F&B products to splurge on.

Held in EXPO Hall 6, admission is entirely free to the public. Aside from local vendors, the Singapore Food & Beverage Fair 2023 will also have four pavilions housing merchants from the following regional countries: Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand—now you don’t have to board a plane to enjoy all your favourite bites and discover new snacks from these foodie hotspots

The Singapore Food & Beverage Fair has vendors selling both cooked food and drinks to enjoy onsite, but there are also plenty of others selling a variety of products, ranging from snacks, to frozen food, kitchen appliances to upgrade your home, and many more!

Ahead of the event, let us share some of the stalls and merchants you must check out.

If you’re a vegetarian or vegan diner, or you’re simply looking to eat more sustainably, the food fair also has heaps of plant-based vendors to explore. Brands include Green Butchery, which is bringing in HerbYvore. The latter sells a plant-protein “cheese” branded ZhngIt, made with mayo with oat milk. Other known plant-based brands such as Quorn and Hoshay Foods will also be selling their goods at the fair.

Korean food lovers, be sure to swing by Krate Korean Street Food, where you get to have your fill of Korean-Style Loaded Fries ($7.90). Loaded fries have been quite the trendy dish of late, and Krate serves their rendition with minced chicken bulgogi, a piquant house-made kimchi mayo, and shredded nori as a topping. They’ll also sell other Korean bites, from mandu to fried chicken.

Popular pop-up mochi doughnut sellers, Dochi Dochi, also have a kiosk on-site. You may have seen their mochi doughnuts previously at other food fairs, available in flavours such as kaya, Nutella, and Biscoff. For the fair, the brand is introducing an exclusive new Dochi-Nana ($5) flavour. This chewy version of pisang goreng comes with a sauce and topping of your choice.

While many of the F&B kiosks at the fair offer trendy new eats, there is also a wide variety of stalls selling more traditional delights. Yoon’s Traditional Teochew Kueh is one such stall. The brand is also a social enterprise for female ex-offenders, all of whom now prepare the kueh that you get to order. Choose from bites such as old-school cikak kueh, muah chee, and other savoury kueh.

Beloved hawkers are also setting up shop at the EXPO for the duration of the event. This includes Blanco Court Beef Noodles, a homegrown brand selling Hainanese-style beef noodles made with a recipe that has been around since 1979. Swing by to try out their fiery Spicy Mala Beef Noodles (Dry) ($7)!

Durian lovers, be sure to head down to the Stinky Durian Dessert booth. The brand, run by the durian supplier 99 Old Trees, is selling their famed Mao Shan Wang Swiss Roll, made with 100% MSW durian, at just $27 a roll.

For other indulgent bites, check out Fragrance Foodstuff’s booth. Chinese New Year might be over, but that doesn’t mean bak kwa is. The brand is offering a 30% off deal on their Truffle Bak Kwa, now priced at $27.70 (U.P. $36.90). The bak kwa is laced with bits of premium summer truffle, adding an aromatic undertone to each bite.

There will also be some pop-ups selling imported booze, including premium Japanese umeshu from $10 a cup, and Australian wines, so keep your eyes peeled for chances to stock up your home bar.
