If you’re a fan of Belle-ville Pancake Cafe, you’ll want in on this: the popular chain’s 100 AM outlet has undergone a full rebrand! Set to launch on 23 March 2023 is Takagi Coffee, a famous Japanese cafe that’s been around since 1958. This will be Takagi Coffee’s first Singapore outlet—outside of its five locations across Japan.

Belle-ville Pancake Cafe made the announcement in a Facebook post a few days ago, reiterating that their three other pancake cafes are still operating at Hillion, Square 2, and Bugis Junction Towers.

According to a brand representative, Takagi Coffee has five stores in Japan: Osaka, Hyogo, Chiba, Kyoto, and Nagano. They roast their beans in stores, with their specialty being single-origin coffees from around the world. For example, the Nicaragua Las Maris Chat ($6.90++) features a complex taste profile of apricot, chocolate, cherry, and caramel.

The signature Takagi Coffee Original Blend ($5.40++) uses coffee from Brazil and Indonesia and boasts nutty notes with a light citrus sweetness. Otherwise, opt for espresso-based classics such as Cafe Latte ($5.90++) instead.

If you’re feeling peckish, you’ll be pleased to know that Belle-ville Pancake Cafe’s famous Millefeuille Pancakes are available on the menu. Served with maple syrup and Hokkaido cream, they’re priced at $6.40++ for two pieces and $9.80++ for four. These fluffy pancakes also come in flavours such as Caramel Apple ($8.10++) and Chocolate Banana ($8.10++)!

The cafe also offers a selection of savoury sandos, including the Pork Cutlet Sandwich with Salad ($14.80++). Thick and fluffy Japanese bread is used for the sandwiches on the menu.
