Sweet Rex cafe at International Plaza
After operating out of Mei Ling Food Centre and subsequently Alexandra Village Food Centre for the past few years, Sweet Rex has finally opened a cafe at International Plaza! Situated right outside Tanjong Pagar MRT Station, the cosy space is ideal for a quick post-lunch dessert.
Be sure to try their famous Classic Souffle Pancakes ($9.80 for two), which comes topped with maple syrup, butter and their house-made fresh custard cream. We loved how fluffy and fragrant these pancakes were when we visited their stall previously.

Apart from the original, the jiggly pancakes are now available in four other flavours. Get the Oreo Chocolate ($12.80), which comes with Oreo crumble and a special chocolate chantilly cream, or the Matcha ($13.80), if you’d rather a bittersweet pancake that is topped with Japanese red bean and matcha custard cream.

For an intense caramel taste, go for the Banana Caramel ($13.80), that has bruleed banana and honeycomb toffee. Sweet Rex also offers the Fresh Fruits ($14.80) plate, which sees the original pancakes topped with an assortment of fruits, as well as fresh strawberry whipped cream.

Sweet Rex also offers 11 types of cheesecake on the menu, ranging from Basque burnt cheesecakes to layered cheesecakes and no-bake cheesecakes. If you can’t decide which style to go with, order the Mix Burnt Cheesecake Box ($46), that is available for pickup as well as delivery.
As part of their opening promotions, Sweet Rex is offering a one-for-one promotion on their sliced cakes from now till 28 February 2022. There’s a similar offer on beverages for the month of March, while their signature souffle pancakes will see the same promotion in April.
