Fronted by a 100m by 100m freshwater fishing pond operated by Fishing Paradise, the pay ponds add a rustic charm to the area and is a huge hit among fishing enthusiasts on the hunt for an affordable and peaceful place to fish or prawn.

After the closure of the pay pond in Pasir Ris, Fishing Paradise is the last legal freshwater fishing pond left standing in Singapore. Sadly, the recreational hub will cease operations come mid-2023.
Fishing Paradise’s regulars will be coming together to organise an event in December to celebrate the memories made and give the place a rousing send-off. Other dining establishments such as SEA Kitchen and the popular Kamikaze Asian Tapas Bar will also be bidding farewell as the entire leisure area makes way for more housing and turns into a residential space.

You can’t visit Orto without slurping down a bowl or two of their well-loved boat noodles. Known for its $0.80 boat noodles, BKK Bistro and Bar is a must-visit when you drop by the area to prawn.
Head down to Orto today to indulge in the hustle and bustle of the recreational space for a final farewell.
