Qunkee Biscuit & Bakery opens first outlet in Singapore

If you’re a fan of the egg tarts from Ipoh, you’ll be glad to hear that the acclaimed Qunkee Biscuit & Bakery opened its first outlet in Singapore. The Ipoh confectionery is located in Kovan, and offers egg tarts, kaya puff, dou sha bing and more.

Those who are rushing to get those treats will have to hold their horses, as the stall is closed from 14 December 2023 to 20 December 2023. In the meantime, let’s have a look at some of the offerings at Qunkee Biscuit & Bakery.

The confectionery offers a variety of egg tarts, including the Hong Kong Egg Tart ($2.20), Portuguese Tart ($2.50), Chicken Floss Tart ($2.60), and Cocoa Tart ($2.60). Regardless of which flavours you choose, you’ll get flaky and buttery tarts filled with rich egg custard. They are also freshly baked every day, so you’ll be getting egg tarts with optimal texture and flavour.

Don’t miss out on the Kaya Puff ($1.30), which sees house-made kaya filling inside a golden brown puff. The coconutty and creamy flavour of the filling is bound to impress anyone with a sweet tooth.

There’s a host of other traditional pastries to be found here. Two fan favourites are the Lau Po Bing ($1.50) and Dou Sha Bing ($0.70), both of which contain sweet fillings and a flaky outer layer.
