IRVINS Salted Egg Fish Skin Snack needs little introduction. It is one of the ‘pioneer’ brands that propelled the popularity of fish skin snack everywhere in Singapore.
Now imagine this crunchy and flavourful snack on a pizza. Ah-huh.
Pezzo and IRVINS have collaborated for the first time to launch this limited-edition Pezzo X IRVINS Salted Egg Pizza.
Priced at $6.90 for a slice, $19.90 for 3 slices, and $35.90 for 6 slices, the special pizza will be available for a limited period only though – from 4 March to 30 April 2021.
You can find it at all Pezzo outlets (listing below), and via delivery exclusively on GrabFood.
Here’s what you get: pizza dough spread over with a generous amount of IRVINS Salted Egg Sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese, baked in the oven, then topped with IRVINS Fish Skin Krumbs.
If some recent pizza collabs or toppings leave you with a ??? of late, I think this is very well worth a try.
When I took the first bite, the one thing that left the impression was the distinctiveness of the richly coated salted egg sauce – made with real salted duck egg yolk of course.
It was savoury, a little creamy, a hint of spice, yet somewhat sweet all at the same time.
I was also wondering if this would be better for a meal or a snack (while watching Netflix or Disney+), as it felt like somewhere in between.
The crispy toppings of “IRVINS Fish Skin Krumbs” are made with premium fish skin, richly coated with salted egg yolk and fragrant curry leaves.
These provide a good crunch and contrast to the cheesiness overall.
While the one slice proved to be rather addictive, if you are getting the full pizza of 6 slices, then I would recommend some form of sharing as it may get jelak.

If you happen to be new to Pezzo, the brand sells its items by slices so that customers can enjoy different kinds of pizza flavours at one go.
Some of the pizza flavours include BBQ Bonanza, Cheesy Cheese, Fiery Hot Chick, Hola Hawaiian, Pepperoni Party, Supremo, Very Veggie, Satay Sedap (gourmet series) and seasonal specials.
Truffle Mushroom Pizza
Fresh dough spread with creamy Italian-made truffle mayo sauce, topped with gooey mozzarella cheese, button mushroom, sliced mushroom and cherry tomatoes.
Of all the newer pizzas introduced, I liked this best for the earthy and bold flavour, and subtle truffle aroma that will linger up when you get take that bite.
Fiery Hot Chicken Pizza
One of the classic Pezzo flavours that has been around since the brand started. This contains fragrant shredded chicken, with extra spicy chilli sauce, red chillies, green and red peppers, topped with mozzarella and crispy fish chilli.
While this sounds potential mega-spicy, I thought it was still pretty-manageable with a kick and like that it was all spicy, saucy, and particularly cheesy at the same time.
Pepperoni Party Pizza
One of the top-sellers, because it is quite generous with the extra beef pepperoni with mozzarella cheese. This could be greasier side for some, but it is hearty and meaty.
Cheesy Cheese Pizza
A classic favourite of mozzarella and feta cheese covered pizza.
Hola Hawaiian Pizza
Another family-favourite topped with turkey ham, bacon, sweet pineapples with two types of cheese – cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
Mao Shan Wang Pizza
May not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for durian lovers… you get a mixture of sweet, savoury and slight-bitter notes; while the creamy texture of the durian compliments the chewy dough.
