In celebration of their latest opening, all diners at Nong Geng Ji are entitled to half-price on their entire bill from 2 to 3 December. If you are unable to make it down then, don’t worry, because there’s a 40% off on 4 to 5 December, and 30% off on 6 to 8 December—still a pretty solid deal, if you ask us.

Do note, however, that on these promo dates, the restaurant is operating on limited hours: 11:30am to 3pm, and 5pm to 10pm. On the plus side, you won’t really have to be in a physical queue, since queue numbers will be given out.
All that aside, what you can look forward to enjoying at Nong Geng Ji include their signature dishes of Stir-Fried Pork with Abalone and Chilli ($27.90++), of which they’ve sold more than 700,000 serves since it was launched in June 2022, and Signature Grass Fish Fillet with Chilli ($25.90++).

As with the more commonly found Sichuan cuisine, Hunanese food is known for its numbing chillies—you will definitely find that at Nong Geng Ji too.

Even if you aren’t a fan of the mouth-numbing spice, there are outlet-exclusive dishes at this VivoCity eatery, such as Braised Pork with Preserved Mustard Greens ($24.90++), where premium pork belly is braised low and slow in an hours-long process.

Another VivoCity-exclusive dish is Tea Oil Stir-Fried Kampung Chicken ($23.90++), a home-style dish that’s native to Hengyang—the second-largest city in Hunan Province. This fragrant dish sees the use of tea oil, which adds a herbaceous note to the stir-fried chicken pieces.

Finally, you’ll also get to order Stir-Fried Hunan Bok Choy with Crispy Pork Lard ($13.90++), starring Hengyang-grown bok choy, which is only available 60 days a year!

Don’t miss the Hunan Shao Mai (Price TBA) when you’re here too—they’re not your regular siew mai!
While you’re at VivoCity, popular Malaysian chocolate cafe dipndip is opening there soon, right next door! Otherwise, head upstairs to YAO YAO Sauerkraut Fish if you enjoy suan cai yu!
