Mr Coconut at AMK Hub
One of the things I look forward to once we’re able to travel again would be to sip on a coconut while kicking back on an island beach resort. However, with the presence of homegrown legends like Mr Coconut, I’m more than happy to make do for the time being. In case you didn’t know, they’re opening their newest outlet at AMK Hub in June this year, bringing their coconut shakes to the North-East yet again.

Coupled with the previous launch of their new outlets in Bugis and Bishan last December, this latest piece of good news is a testament to their hard work, and determination to perfect their coconut-infused drink recipes over the years. As a result, they’ve proven to be a hit with the local crowd, something that us Singaporeans should be proud of.

Their fan favourite Coconut Shake (from $4.40) is a rich, smooth drink that includes pieces of coconut flesh and even a scoop of ice cream added for good measure. If you love that extra dose of Vitamin C, go for their fruitier flavours such as the Coconut Strawberry Shake (from $5.30) instead.

For something lighter on the palate, we’d recommend their Coconut Fresh Milk series, with interesting standouts including the Dragonfruit Mango Coconut Fresh Milk (from $5.30) and Avocado Gula Melaka Coconut Fresh Milk (from $5.30).

If your preferred dessert happens to be ice cream, their Coconut Ice Cream ($4.90) is highly raved about as well. Each scoop comes with three toppings of your choice, such as Gula Melaka Sago, Crushed Oreo, and Coconut Meat, among others.
For other new openings around the country, Chef Wang Fried Rice is a new hawker stall in Beo Crescent Market, helmed by an ex-Din Tai Fung chef. In other news, Everything With Fries reopens with a pop-up concept in Katong, bringing back their popular Har Jeong Kai burger and Nutella tarts.
