Mister Donut is opening at Bishan with their famous doughnuts
Junction 8 seems to be getting more hype these days, with the likes of cult favourite brands such as Shake Shack setting up shop there. Now, fans of popular Japanese chain Mister Donut can look forward to the brand’s upcoming store, launching in the same Bishan mall come May 2023.

This news, which came from an 8days exclusive, is also confirmed by a PR representative for the brand. The Bishan store will be Mister Donut’s first permanent shop in Singapore. The famous doughnut chain is brought in by local food group RE&S, which also boasts Gokuku and Yakiniku-GO under its wing.
Mister Donut Opens 1st SG Pop-Up In Jurong Point With Famous Pon De Ring Doughnuts And More
Just last year, Mister Donut tested the market with a one-month-long pop-up in Jurong Point. This limited-time store saw much fanfare, with queues of up to three hours each day, proving the brand’s massive popularity.

For the uninitiated, Mister Donut is most known for their Pon De Ring, a Japanese-style doughnut featuring eight balls made with tapioca flour. We can see why they’re such a hit: these mochi-like doughnuts are lighter, softer, and chewier than their American counterparts.

You can get them in classic glazed form, or drenched in a sweet and tangy strawberry coating.
Other doughnut flavours that were previously available at the Jurong Point pop-up include Coconut Chocolate and Custard Cream.

The doughnut shop has a great fanbase across Asia, with numerous outlets launched in Thailand, Taiwan, Japan and more.
Full details on the Singapore outpost are yet to be released, but we do know that the doughnuts will be directly imported from Japan. We’ll update this story when we get more information.
