Kooks Creamery Bedok has new lava cookies and ice cream

Popular ice cream cafe Kooks Creamery has launched their third outlet in Bedok North, bringing their gooey lava cookies to the east. Their newest branch features a number of outlet-exclusive items, including ice cream lattes and yoghurt-flavoured ice cream. The creamery is also open till 1am on weekends, so peckish Easties can head over for a sweet treat after having dinner or supper in the area.

The newest outlet sees the brand go through an aesthetic makeover with white tones, wood accents, and artificial plants tastefully placed in the space. Here, a single scoop of ice cream will cost you $4.30, or you can get a double scoop for $7.50. Premium or specialty flavours come with an extra charge of $1.

Following the cafe’s popular Unicorn Lava Cookie in the outlet-exclusive Pink Ruby Chocolate Lava Cookie ($11.80), comprising a single ice cream scoop of your choice sitting on top of a crumbly ruby chocolate cookie. On our visit, we went for the Blue Chai Hokkaido Milk ice cream, which had a milky flavour that worked in tandem with the cookie’s light sweetness.

Kooks Creamery has also collaborated with The Kim Sisters, a Korean-American music group, to create two ice cream yoghurt flavours—Apricot Honey Yogurt and Blueberry Honey Yogurt. The Jeju-themed flavours are only available at the new Bedok outlet.

Enjoy these unique flavours on their own or have them dunked into a shot of flavoured milk. The Ice Cream Latte Matcha Shot ($9.80) is a fan favourite, and while you can pick one non-premium flavoured ice cream scoop to go with it, the creamery recommends Black Sesame for a blend of earthy flavours.

If an ice cream drink is too gao for your palate, opt for the Iced Summer Tea ($7) or Raspberry Soda ($7) instead for something refreshing to wash down all that creaminess.

Daily bakes are also available at the counter for those who’d like to bring something home. A single-flavoured cookie costs $3.50, while a box of six costs $18.50. The bakes are only available at this outlet and come in flavours such as Red Velvet With Cream Cheese Filling and Sea Salt Chocolate Chip With Speculoos Filling.
