Being a foodie, I love trying all sorts of food and also here to help out the F&B industry and small businesses / homebakes during this COVID-19 crisis . BUT of course, as much as I try to help, I will still stay true to my tastebuds .

YUZU OSMANTHUS CAKE

Recently , I was again approached by Whyzee Bakery. Whyzee Bakery is known for its wide range of cakes. Previous did a tasting for their Chocolate Desire Cake ( See my earlier post on Instagram at *eat_live_chill* for detailed review ) , which I loved.

So this time, here I am trying out one of their floral flavoured cakes β€œYuzu Osmanthus Cake” .

It is a refreshing and light type of cake, complemented with light Japanese-infused cream in between and around an aromatic sponge cake and topped with dried Osmanthus flowers.

The cake is made up of light sponge cake layers and the cream in-between is sourish and pretty stimulating to the appetite. The cream on top and surrounding the cake is very light and has a faint floral after tast and a tinge of osmanthus fragrance. The sponge cake layers are airy, fluffy and light too!

Cake Slice

Personally felt that this Yuzu Osmanthus Cake is a pretty refreshing change currently priced at S$81.90 . The osmanthus flavour is subtle and the fragrance is gentle. Overall this cake is more towards the sour flavour and is definitely for you, if you love sour snacks or one to stimulate your appetite.
