PARKROYAL on Beach Road celebrates a milestone as all-day dining Ginger achieves Halal-certification.

This 172-seater’s kitchen and live food stations are now officially halal-certified by MUIS.

To mark this feat, they launch an exclusive ‘Themed Dinner at Ginger’ featuring two new themed a la carte buffets – BBQ and Seafood.

Designed by award-winning Singapore-based Australian designer Emma Maxwell, Ginger is one the most instagrammable hotel buffet restaurants in Singapore.

If you have not been to the revamped space yet, the spacious 535 square metre restaurant is decked out in pretty-pastel colours, decorated with the thematic ginger plant. Looking very inviting like a garden-space.

Guests at Ginger will be treated to new creations and classic signatures curated by Executive Chef Vincent Aw and his team. Expect no less than quality ingredients and thorough preparation.

Starting at $65++ per adult, the thematic buffet runs from now until 31 October 2021. You can catch the BBQ Thematic Dinner on Wednesdays and Thursdays, while Seafood Thematic Dinner is available on Fridays and Saturdays.

All buffet items are free-flow. Here’s more on Ginger’s food offerings:

BBQ Thematic Dinner
Available on Wednesday and Thursday for dinner, from 6pm to 10pm

Soak in the flavours of aromatic barbecued dishes lined up for the buffet, including Assorted Sausages and Pulled Chicken Sliders. Even vegans have options such as their Vegan Meat Wrapped with Avocado and Tortilla.

Prime Rib
Slow roasted for succulence and to maximise tenderness, this Prime Rib is a meat lover’s delight. Enjoy its deep, savoury flavour accompanied with your choice of house sauces – onion, black pepper or brown.

Lamb Rack
This dish features a rack of Australian lamb grilled with precision. Compared to lamb from other sources, this meat has a richer taste and more intense marbling. Best paired with Ginger’s in-house onion, black pepper and brown sauces.

Wagyu Beef Steak
Pamper yourself with a beautifully marbled perfectly grilled A4 Wagyu striploin. If you fancy steaks, this tender, juicy beef steak is highly recommended.

Pulled Beef Brisket Slider
The secret of this sandwich lies in a beef brisket cooked sous vide-style up to 4 hours. Fork tender til it melts in your mouth, the pulled pork is cooked in a Cajun spice mix for a kick of flavours.

BBQ Catch of the Day
Taste the catch of the day, like fresh squids sliced in small rings marinated in homemade sambal. The spiced-rubbed meat is grilled to a smoky finish, and served on a banana leaf for an added aroma.

Seafood Thematic Dinner
Available on Friday and Saturday for dinner, from 6pm to 10pm

Indulge on tantalising seafood dishes such as Black Pepper Lobster, Crispy Pacific Dory with Tartar Sauce, and Thai River Prawn with Thai Green Chili. Crab lovers can feast on Ginger’s rendition of Soft Shell Crab with Wasabi Mayo; and the iconic Singapore Chilli Crab with Mantou.

Not forgetting Japanese favourites including Salmon Sashimi Platter, Assorted Sushi, Assorted Seafood Platter, Japanese Seafood Salad, to Chirashi Don.

Seafood Pao Fan
Unlike the usual porridge, Pao Fan is a “submerged rice” dish where you get a bowl of crispy rice (not the usual white rice) served in a rich seafood broth.

This allows for the nice and crunchy fried grains for that contrast in textures. A medley of seafood including prawns, mussels and clams, make the broth richer and more flavourful.

Spicy Thai Fish Burger
The quintessential Western burger takes a Thai spin with a handmade fish patty imbued with aromatic lemongrass, peppery onion and sweet Thai chili. Make it a lighter burger with a fish burger, without skimping on flavour.

Sambal Clams
Flower clams, known for their sweet meaty flesh and delicate chewy texture, are stir-fried in a chili paste with dried shrimp and onion. The sambal’s savoury spice infuses with the briny taste of the clams for an appetising blend of flavours.

Singapore Chilli Crabs with Mantou
The much-loved Singapore Chili Crab is one of the favourites here, known for its aromatic and rich sauce.

What I loved about this dish was the sauce – thick and almost gooey, rather eggy with tinge of sweetness coming from the tomato ketchup. Some diners may feel this is on the sweeter side, and I agree that it can be slightly spicier.

Perhaps the crab could have been more meaty, because it is served in a smaller portion. Well, do not forget about the deep-fried mantou to dip into the sauce.

Salted Egg Crab
Apart from the naturally sweet taste of crabs, this dish racks up points for its creamy, butter and aromatic salted egg yolk sauce. It can be hard to ignore that lip-smacking goodness.

The salted egg sauce is slightly grainy, enhanced with aromatic curry leaves.
