Gardens by the Bay food guide
Dining at Gardens by the Bay, also known as GBTB, is now more exciting than ever, with the opening of the Jurassic Nest at the Supertree Grove. This air-conditioned, dinosaur-themed food court is host to four Michelin-recommended brands—you’re literally spoiled for choice when it comes to dining options around Bayfront MRT Station. Of course, this isn’t the only spot for noms in the sprawling GBTB, so here’s our Gardens by the Bay food guide!
1. Tsuta
Michelin-starred Tsuta was the first-ever ramen restaurant to win the prestigious mark of recognition, and you can find them right here in the brand new Jurassic Food Nest food hall at Gardens by the Bay.
The Original Truffle Shoyu Soba, priced at $16.80, is their signature. Otherwise, there’s Premium Char Siu Truffle Shio Soba ($20.80), Crab Soba ($22.80), and Mala Tonkotsu ($15.80)!

2. Hawker Chan
Hawker Chan holds the honour of being the world’s first Michelin-starred hawker, although they’ve since lost their star. They’re most well-known for their Cantonese-style soya sauce braised chicken, with its dark, shiny layer of skin.
The most basic options are Soya Sauce Chicken Rice ($8.80) and Soya Sauce Chicken Noodle ($9.80)—this latter comes with your choice of thin mee kia, though this is springier than the local version, or kway teow.

3. Bismillah Biryani
Order a T-Rex Biryani ($30) at halal-certified Bismillah Biryani, AKA the world’s only Michelin-recognised briyani eatery. Disneyland’s got their turkey leg, and GBTB has their lamb shank T-Rex thigh.
They’ve won the Michelin Bib Gourmand award six times, and the star dish here is Chicken Dum Biryani ($9/$16), with fluffy, aromatic basmati, and a tender chicken leg. They’ve even got a vegetarian option: Vegetable Dum Biryani ($8/$12), too!

4. Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang
Local nasi lemak meets Indonesian-style grilled chicken at Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang, which won the Michelin Plate in 2021 and was featured in the guide this year too. Apart from nasi lemak, they also serve Hainanese curry rice and satay!
If you only have space for one dish, definitely choose Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang ($9.90), for smoky, char-kissed chicken topped with sambal. A less spicy option is Nasi Lemak Ayam Kecap Sambal ($9.80), sweetened with kecap manis. For something more classic, The JUMBO SET ($10.50) comes with otak, fishcake, a chicken frank, fried chicken wing, and an egg.

5. Took Lae Dee
For something more international, consider Took Lae Dee, a famous 24-hour eatery from Thailand which has been around since 1972. You could easily settle an entire meal here, from starters to mains and desserts, which include “Tub Tim Krob” Thai Red Rubies with Coconut Ice Cream ($6) and Mango Sticky Rice ($6), though this is seasonal.
Classic Thai dishes you’ll find here are “Yum Woon Sen” Thai Style Spicy Vermicelli Salad ($8.80), “Pad Krapow” Minced Pork with Chilli and Basil Leaves served with Rice ($8.80), and “Pad Thai” Thai Fried Rice Noodle (Prawn) ($9.80).

The only eatery at the Jurassic Nest food hall that’s accessible from the outside is JN Cafe, which starts operations at 8:30am daily. They’ve got all-day brekkie options, such as Jurassic Big Breakfast ($18) and Berry Ricotta Pancakes ($12.80), alongside Chicken Spam Carbonara ($14) and more.
Otherwise, kids will love Crispy Chicken Waffle ($14) and Milo Dinosaur ($5), while adults can go for Kopi O (from $2.80) with Kaya Butter ($2.40) and Soft Boiled Egg ($1.80 for two).

7. Shake Shack
Shake Shack launched their Gardens by the Bay outlet with a limited-edition Roasted Garlic Mushroom Burger last year, which our writer declared her favourite ever. It may no longer be on the menu, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t grab a burger here.
There are both indoor and outdoor seats, and menu mainstays include the Dark Meat Hot Chicken Burger ($10.80), Shack Stack ($15.20), Cheese Fries ($5.90), and Singapore-exclusive Pandan Shake ($8.30).
