Presenting the very first selection of 97 restaurants in Malaysia, the Michelin guide recognises 4 restaurants with one MICHELIN Star for their high-quality cooking and another 32 establishments have received a Bib Gourmand for offering good food at moderate prices.
97 Restaurants Shine in the First Edition of Malaysia’s MICHELIN Guide

Another 3 restaurants are awarded the MICHELIN Special Awards: Service Award, Sommelier Award, and Young Chef Award.
Amongst the 97 restaurants listed, two restaurants in Kuala Lumpur have both been awarded one MICHELIN Star. One of the restaurants is Dewakan, a restaurant presenting modern Malaysian dishes honouring provenance by using local and indigenous produce while the second restaurant to receive the award is DC. by Darren Chin for delicious French classics with an emphasis on regional live seafood and local produce.
Penang And Kuala Lumpar Restaurants Receive One Michelin Star

In Penang, the two restaurants awarded one MICHELIN Star in Penang are Auntie Gaik Lean’s Old School Eatery which is known for serving Peranakan cuisine made from Chef Auntie Gaik’s secret recipes using quality produce. Au Jardin is the second restaurant to also receive a Michelin star for its menu featuring sophisticated European fare with subtle local twists.
