Fans of popular cafe Coexist Coffee Co. can look forward to their latest outlet in the East! Coexist Coffee Co. Paya Lebar officially opens its doors on 23 February 2022, so you don’t have to travel all the way to their OG branch at Hillview for your cup of joe.
Coexist Coffee Co. first gained traction when it opened in a nondescript industrial building in the west, boasting striking red-and-white interiors that screamed IG-worthy. Thereafter, the homegrown brand launched its second branch at a more central location, along Keong Saik Road.

This third outlet, located in the Lifelong Learning Institute, is a short five-minute walk from Paya Lebar MRT Station, making it more convenient for Easties to get their brunch and coffee fix.
The massive two-storey cafe sees moody, monochrome interiors offset by warm and woody elements for a chic yet cosy ambience. With this outlet being their largest one to date, there are plenty of seats available. Snag a countertop seat or head upstairs to the second floor for more privacy.
Choose from an extensive coffee menu, or opt for a tasting flight if you’re feeling adventurous. The Trinity Brew ($18++) gets you two ice-dripped filter coffees, while the Barista Breakfast ($8) comes with a white and two espresso shots on the side.
Food-wise, you can expect hearty brunch fare, sandwiches, mains, and plates of pasta with a twist. Tuck into the Ebiko Linguine ($24++), a pasta dish with heady prawn notes, topped with grilled prawns and shrimp roe.

Don’t forget to check out the lineup of gourmet pizzas that are only available from Fridays to Sundays. There’s the Takoyaki ($22++), with all the fixings of the famous Japanese snack: takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, seaweed flakes, bonito flakes, and grilled octopus. Those who prefer local flavours can try the Chicken Lemak ($20++), a nasi lemak-inspired pie with sambal, fried ikan bilis, roasted peanuts, and fried chicken chunks.

You’ll also find a great selection of plated desserts available here. Elevate your meal with Japan ($16++), a medley of Choya pebbles, hojicha ice cream, matcha crumble, and dark chocolate snow. Otherwise, go for Grape ($14++), which is a refreshing combination of grape granita, elderflower ice cream, lime jelly, and roasted grapes.
If you’re looking for more new cafes in the east, check out Breakfast Grill in East Coast for their loaded sammies. Another aesthetic cafe to visit is Cafe Q Classified, a pink cafe in Orchard with botanical decor.
