Cafe Natsu by Michelin-starred chef opens in Dhoby Ghaut
Cafe hoppers have something new to check out next weekend, as popular Joo Chiat spot Cafe Natsu is set to open a second outlet at Clemenceau Citadines Connect Hotel on 5 December 2022.
Cafe Natsu: Gorgeous Cafe With Japanese-Inspired Brunch And Mochi Doughnuts In Joo Chiat
Helmed by one Michelin-starred Chef Lewis Barker, Cafe Natsu first rose to internet fame for their pretty aesthetics and Japanese-inspired brunch. The new cafe, which is an easy three-minute walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, will see the same Japanese flair with a spin: it promises a relaxed ambience akin to that of an Australian cafe.
Regulars will be happy to know that the popular Florentine ($30++) will also be available at this upcoming outlet. It features two toasted English muffins topped with poached eggs, a miso hollandaise sauce, spanner crab, and a slightly peppery wasabi spinach.
The ever-popular Wagyu Sando ($26++) will also be available; it stars slow-cooked Wagyu with toasted shokupan, sandwiched by shishito pepper ketchup and yushu kosho mayo. Togarashi fries—skinny fries topped with a Japanese spice mix—are included on the side for a complete meal.
Then there’s the Shio Kombu Gnocchi ($24++) too, which spotlights chewy potato dumplings in a sweet kabocha pumpkin sauce, finished with salted kelp.

For dessert, tuck into the Kurozato Brown Sugar Tart ($12++) paired with pecans and vanilla cream. The creamy Baked Hokkaido Cheese Tart ($8) will also star on the menu.
We’ve also been informed by a brand representative that some of the current dishes on Cafe Natsu Joo Chiat’s menu will be exclusive to the Clemenceau branch. We’ll update this article when we get more information about the new cafe, but in the meantime, you can keep your eyes peeled on Cafe’ Natsu’s Instagram!
