Brotherbird Bakehouse to open at Tampines 1
Brotherbird Bakehouse has been quite the busy bee lately with all their pop-up openings at Shell Stations islandwide, as well as running a full-fledged bakery at two different locations. For Easties who haven’t gotten the chance to pay them a visit the last time they were operating out of a Tampines Shell station, fret not, as they have teased an upcoming opening at Tampines 1, with more details to be released soon. So far, a representative from the brand has mentioned that they will be opening from March onwards.

While an opening date has yet to be confirmed, Easties can definitely start to get hyped as this looks to be a permanent new home for the famed bakery.
For those who’ve yet to try Brotherbird Bakehouse out, here’s a lowdown on what’s good. The brand began their first flagship in Lavender’s CT Hub 2, but has since expanded to a now-defunct cafe in Little India, and a more recent opening in Raffles Place.
They made a name for themselves with their unique range of croissant flavours, including being one of the first brands to introduce mochi croissants to Singaporean diners. They also have a selection of regular and seasonal flavours, with the latter changing month on month. You can buy their croissants individually, or in bake boxes, which you can order via their website, and collect at any of their outlets.

Their croissants are also twice-baked, ensuring a fluffy, honeycomb middle, and a shatteringly crisp outer. Apart from croissants, the bakery also sells danishes.
Must-try flavours include their Rocher Croissant, which comes with a hazelnut filling, a chocolate glaze, and baked almonds. Else, the Mentaiko Prawn Twice-Baked is another crowd favourite. This savoury treat stars a smoky mentaiko prawn filling with mozzarella cheese for added richness. Most of their croissants are priced under $6.
Seasonal bakes such as their Mango Sticky Rice Twice-Baked Croissant and Maple Pecan Croissant also make appearances in bake boxes, and in-stores, on rotation.
