Homegrown gelato brand Birds of Paradise is not resting on their laurels. After launching their fourth outlet on Beach Road, they’ve announced the opening of their fifth outlet, this time in the North. Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique & Sandwich Bar, a new dine-in cafe concept, is set to open at Mandai Wildlife West on 8 May 2023!

The all-new dining space and gelato boutique is located right outside Bird Paradise, so you can pop in for a break after visiting the new bird park. You’ll first spot a silver bullet food truck right outside, where you can select your gelato flavours before heading in.

Escape from the heat and chill at the dine-in space, where tabletops are made from upcycled pink marble, and plant waste from the gelato-making process.
Food-wise, expect brand-new items such as Strawberry Basil and Pandan Sundae (price TBD), a refreshing creation topped with coconut flakes, pomegranate seeds, and coconut blossom nectar for natural sweetness. There’s also the Banana & Coconut Caramel and Smoked Chocolate Sundae (price TBD), which features dairy-free gelato.

Those dining at Birds of Paradise Mandai can tuck into savoury bites from the Sandwich Bar, including an Egg Mayo Sourdough (price TBD), starring fresh coriander and pistachio for crunch, and a sinful Grilled Triple Cheese (price TBD).
Look forward to new shakes on the menu too, made with only two ingredients: gelato and regular milk or oat milk. The Strawberry Basil Shake (price TBD) is a must-try milk-based beverage that pairs the sweet and juicy fruit with punchy basil notes.

Don’t miss out on their signature gelato too. Popular flavours include Midnight Gianduja, which pays homage to a popular Italian chocolate hazelnut spread, and the botanical-inspired White Chrysanthemum for those who love floral flavours.
