Hup Kee Fried Oyster Omelette first operated at Glutton Square in Orchard Road from 1966 to 1978 before moving to its present location at Newton Food Centre in 1971. The owner, who is now in his 80s, is retired and the stall is currently run by his wife and son for a few years now. Hup Kee is a hawker icon and still has constant queues of customers even to this day.
