There are a lot of interesting hawkers at Golden Mile Food Centre. That makes it one of the best places for affordable and hearty meals. Some of the best hawkers include Mr Baguette that makes explosive pastries, and Choon Kee that makes wholesome roasted pork with the crunchiest skin. In 2021, this spot has been awarded Makansutra 2021 “Divine” rating. Offering two types of dishes, curry chicken noodle, and chicken rice, both of them are considered excellent choices by the locals. Cooked with finesse, the curry broth is considered to be very rich, or very lemak. It is one of those soups that you wouldn’t be able to stop until the bowl is empty.
Served with thick rice vermicelli and yellow noodles, it is accompanied by various types of toppings. The poached chicken is extremely tender. It is completed with soft potatoes, and beancurd. Despite the generous offerings, one bowl of curry chicken noodles is only priced at $5. As for the chicken rice, the well-executed comfort food is simply delicious.
