If you love the authentic version, here’s a freshly made one!
Freshly Made Cantonese Style Chee Cheong Fun Using Cloth
Pin Wei Hong Kong Style Chee Cheong Fun has been operating in Pek Kio Hawker Centre for more than ten years. Operated by Mr. Tan, he had learned the trades of making chee cheong fun from his father, who was also a hawker. Skilled at making chee cheong fun, every piece of chee cheong fun is freshly made using the cloth method.
Rice batter is evenly poured on a white cloth during the steaming process. Through this method, every piece of chee cheong fun is thin. Every piece is translucent, and you will be able to spot the ingredients inside. Perfectly paired with light soy sauce, and sesame. Although it is good on its own, seafood lovers shouldn’t miss out on trying it with scallop and prawns. Honestly, spot on choices.
Affordably priced, the plain version is priced at $3. Prawn and scallop are respectively $5 and $6 each. If you are on a chee cheong fun hunt, you will need to check these out:
