Cafe Aux Bacchanales in Plaza Singapura
Plaza Singapura has added yet another cafe to its books, in the form of Cafe Aux Bacchanales.
Originating from Tokyo, the eatery serves mainly French-Japanese cuisine, with an extensive menu including sandwiches, steak frites, crepes, and galettes. Situated on the third floor of the shopping mall, the bistro is also recognised for its rustic and classy decor.

Reminding us a lot of French Fold, this cafe is similarly well-known for its savoury galettes that come with a chock full of ingredients. Hot favourites among customers include the Galette Au Jambon And Champignon ($15.80++) which is a savoury crepe laced with ham and mushrooms, topped with a runny egg yolk. The Galette Au Saumon And Herbes ($17.80++) comes with salmon and herbs too.

Their galettes are considered as mains that are part of their set lunch specials. Pick from a variety of sides like Caesar Salad ($6.50++), sweets like Gateau Chocolate Cake ($7.50++), and even drinks like red or white Wine ($8.50++ for a glass) to accompany your galette of choice.

Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted to give their dessert crepes a taste, such as the Crepe Au Chocolat ($10.80++) or Crepe Suzette ($10.80++). Like their galettes, their crepes are light on the palate and are generously packed with toppings such as caramelised bananas and ice cream.

Carnivores, feast your eyes on their Ribeye Steak Frites Sauce Bordelaise ($34.80++) or their Sirloin Steak Frites Sauce Bordelaise ($32.80++), depending on whichever cut of beef you prefer. Their steaks are paired with crispy french fries and finished off with their own red wine sauce. Alternatively, if you prefer conventional French fare, opt for the Confit De Canard ($35.80++), or their duck confit with fried potato and garlic.
For a happy ending, get a dash of fruitiness in their desserts like Tart Au Fruites ($11.80++) or Tart Au Citron ($7.80++).
