Shi Nian Pig Leg Rice opens new outlets
If you love braised pig trotter rice, you’re going to want to get excited: Shi Nian Pig Leg Rice has announced that they will be opening three new outlets, adding to their already-existing pool of eight. To celebrate their new opening, they will also be offering free Pig’s Leg Rice worth $5.90, for the three first days each outlet opens, while stocks last.
To redeem the free Pig’s Leg Rice bowl, simply swing by these new outlets on their opening days: Kovan 209 Market & Food Centre on 9 March, Marine Parade Central Market & Food Centre on 15 March, and Amoy Street Food Centre at the end of the month.
For those who’ve not heard of the brand, they started out in 2019 as Lin Ji Pig Leg Rice. They were best known for their braised pork dishes, and are also related to the team behind Nic & Tom Eatery, as well as Bai Nian Niang Dou Fu.
We reviewed the hawker before when they debuted at Old Airport Road Food Centre, where we enjoyed their bestselling Pig Trotter Rice ($5.90), and their Pig Leg Rice. The former sees fatty braised trotter slow-cooked till it melts in the mouth, while the latter is leaner, but no less indulgent.

They also have a dish known as Swirly Intestine ($9), where pig’s intestines are rolled then braised, and served along with a house-made sweet chilli. They also serve Prawn Cake ($4.90), a delicious, deep-fried addition to your meal, and other cuts of pig’s innards.
Prior to this, they have other outlets around the country, from Chong Pang Hawker Centre to Northlink, the all-new Senja Hawker Centre, and plenty of others.
