Best halal cafes in Singapore
Whenever my friends and I make plans for a meet-up, there would always be plenty of cafe suggestions thrown around. As a Muslim, however, my choices are limited to halal cafes, so there are times where more digging is required to find a suitable place.
To make things easier for my fellow cafe-loving Muslims, I’ve compiled a list of 10 best halal cafes that are worth checking out.
1. All Things Delicious.

All Things Delicious is a bakery-cafe that was first launched as an online business. Located at Arab Street, this cafe is bright, airy, and cosy. They are known for their Sticky Toffee Pudding ($6.90++), which stars a delicate caramel sponge cake made from Deglet Nour dates. The cake is doused in a toffee sauce with a roasted caramel flavour.

You can also go for their NZ Lamb Rice Bowl ($21.90++) if you want something filling. This dish sees tender lamb meatballs, spicy kidney beans, and hot mango salsa on a bed of basmati cumin pilaf. The dish is finished with some avocado and sour cream.

2. The Fabulous Baker Boy

The Fabulous Baker Boy serves a wide selection of brunch items. This cafe boasts a full display of pastries and cakes at the front of their store, with plenty of seats in a bright and open space that is decorated with potted plants and track lights.
Go for their “Heart Attack” French Toast! With Berries ($18), which features a fried sourdough brioche bread soaked in eggs and cream, finished with cinnamon sugar and maple syrup.
If you’re a fan of savoury breakfast foods, give their hearty Good Ol’ Eggs Benedict ($14) a shot. It comes with two poached eggs on two slices of sourdough brioche, drenched in hollandaise sauce. You can choose to have it with turkey bacon or cream stewed spinach.

The dish is finished with a crumbled oat topping, which is said to taste peppery and sweet.

Pancake lovers should check out Fluff Stack, a dessert shop that specialises in soufflé pancakes. Go for their bestselling Mango Passion Fruit Soufflé Pancakes ($14.80), of cloud-like pancakes with passion fruit coulis, coconut sago and chantilly cream. The dish is topped by a large slice of juicy mango that’s dusted with powdered sugar.
Despite its limited seating capacity, there is always a snaking queue, so it might be better to come on a weekday.

(working title) Burger Bar specialises in handmade gourmet burgers. This quaint restaurant is also known for its cosy and retro interior. With dark wood furnishings and warm ceiling lamps, this burger bar is great for dates or a night out with friends. If you can only have one dish, get the Beef Baconator ($17.90).
This hearty burger stars an Angus beef patty, stacked with beef bacon, caramelised onions, and Monterey Jack cheese. These are sandwiched between brioche buns with a creamy truffle aioli sauce.

Located at the rooftop of Bishan Sports Centre is Good Bites, known for their Insta-worthy outdoor dining area, which is decorated with fairy lights and colourful LED signages.
Good Bites also has an indoor dining area with plenty of seating booths and full-length windows that brighten up the space. Food-wise, the cafe serves western cuisine at an affordable price. You can get their Seafood Tom Yum Pasta ($14++) and Mini Milkshakes ($9.90++).
